What is FTC?
FTC stands for FIRST® Tech Challenge, and it’s a FIRST® Robotics program for students in grades 7-12. FTC teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots, in addition to creating an Engineering Portfolio. Learn more about FTC on the FIRST® Inspires website.
Eagan Robotics FTC Program
The Eagan Robotics program currently has 4 FTC teams, each creating their own unique robot in a shared meeting space at Eagan High School. In addition to working on the robot and engineering portfolio, students will do STEM outreach in the community. Adult mentors and coaches, as well as parent administrators will support and guide teams throughout the season.
The goal of the Eagan Robotics FTC program is to teach students technical and professional skills that will prepare them for future success. Students are encouraged to hone their time management skills, learn how to take initiative, and develop leadership capabilities. Whether they choose to continue with the FTC program, or join our FRC Team, they will have a strong knowledge base to grow from.
